AUTO ELECTRICIAN

An opportunity currently exists for an auto electrician and diesel fitter/plant mechanic to join an established, diversified and expanding Mudgee and Gunnedah based company catering for all auto electrical and mechanical repairs to light vehicles, road transport, agricultural and earthmoving equipment.

Roles currently available:


Auto Electrician x 1 position

Diesel Fitter x 1 position


These positions require an auto electrician and diesel fitter who can contribute to a committed team with the flexibility to work between our Mudgee and Gunnedah branches.


Essential Criteria:

  • Trade Certificate
  • A/C Licence (Auto Elec)
  • Drivers Licence
  • Understanding of workplace health and safety policies and procedures with a strong emphasis on safety
  • Ability to work as part of a team
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Reliable and punctual
  • A self-starter with the ability to work autonomously
  • Excellent organisational skills

Desirable Criteria:

  • Experience with various machinery – mining, agricultural, civil and road transport
  • MDG15 mine specification experience
  • White Card
  • Forklift Licence

  • Order 41 Coal Board Medical that has been completed within the last 12 months

DIESEL FITTER / PLANT MECHANIC

Absolute has recently secured a three year tender for maintenance services at a prominent site within the Mudgee district. We are therefore seeking expressions of interest from diesel fitters and light vehicle mechanics who are interested in securing long term work in the Mudgee area.


Roles currently available:


8x Diesel Fitter / Plant Mechanic, full time – Mudgee based

2x Light Vehicle Mechanic, full time - Mudgee based


Essential Criteria:

  • Trade Certificate
  • Drivers Licence
  • Understanding of workplace health and safety policies and procedures with a strong emphasis on safety
  • Ability to work as part of a team
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Reliable and punctual

  • Must be physically fit as passing a medical is required

  • Experience with open-cut mining predominately working with Liebherr, Komatsu and Caterpillar

Opportunities currently exist for two Truck Mechanics to join an established, diversified and expanding Mudgee and Gunnedah based company catering for mechanical and all auto electrical repairs to light vehicles, road transport, agricultural and earthmoving equipment.

These roles have great ongoing training and career opportunities, flexible start times and plenty of OT for experienced truck mechanics. You will have the ability to take control of your day and be accountable without constant supervision.


Role Available:


  • 2x Truck Mechanic, full time – Gunnedah Region

These positions are for an IMMEDIATE START.


Essential Criteria:

  • Experience as a Trade Qualified Road Transport Mechanic or Light Vehicle Mechanic with road transport experience
  • HR licence
  • Excellent organisational skills
  • Strong emphasis on safety
  • Exceptional people skills
  • Ability to think for themselves and work well within a small team
  • Good eye for detail and a strong safety focus

Desirable Criteria:

  • HVAIS qualification
  • Forklift ticket
  • First aid certificate

We have a full time position available in the Mudgee workshop for an experienced Light Vehicle Mechanic. This is a flexible role, working across many facets of the industry, predominately light vehicles and 4WDs and opportunities to diversify into road transport and earthmoving, if desirable.

1x Light Vehicle Mechanic, full time – Mudgee based

  • Trade certificate
  • HVAIS examiner/proprietor
  • 4x4 experience
  • Drivers licence

WAREHOUSE STOREMAN

An opportunity currently exists for a Warehouse Storeman to join an established and rapidly expanding Mudgee based company catering to the mining, civil and agricultural industries.


Absolute is currently seeking an experienced Storeman for short term work on a mine site in the Mudgee region. This will be a Monday to Friday position for approximately three months’ work. This position is for an IMMEDIATE START.


The position requires an experienced warehouse storeman who can contribute to a committed team with flexibility to work in a warehouse/production environment in a broad 'all-rounder' role.

To be successful, applicants will need to address the following Selection Criteria:

  • Min. 2 years’ warehousing experience
  • Current forklift and driver's licence
  • Understanding of workplace health and safety policies and procedures with a strong emphasis on safety
  • Ability to work as part of a team
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Reliable and punctual
  • Mechanical aptitude
  • A self-starter with the ability to work autonomously
  • Good phone manner
  • Computer literate
